Alberta

Western Canada includes the province of Alberta. Mountains, plains, arid badlands, and extensive coniferous woods all make up its topography. It boasts vast mineral reserves and more than 600 lakes. Glaciers can be found in the Columbia Icefields of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks in the west. The southern border of Canada and the USA is shared by the biosphere reserve known as the Waterton Glacier International Peace Park.
